01

Who we are

FlyAwayFinds is the data controller for personal data collected through flyawayfinds.com. Contact privacy@flyawayfinds.com with any questions.

02

What we collect

Newsletter: your email address, optional departure airport and budget preference, and a record of your consent (date, wording version and source page).

Accounts: your name, email address, a securely hashed password, saved destinations, saved searches and alert preferences.

Usage data: pages viewed and anonymised click events used to understand which content is useful. IP addresses are hashed before storage.

03

Why we use it

We send marketing emails only with your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and PECR). We process account data to provide the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b)), and analytics data under our legitimate interest in improving the site (Article 6(1)(f)).

04

Who we share it with

Our email provider (Brevo) to send emails, and our hosting provider (DigitalOcean). We do not sell your data. Travel partners receive no personal data from us — when you click through, you interact with them directly.

05

Retention and your rights

Raw analytics events are deleted after 90 days and click logs after around 13 months. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; consent records are kept as evidence of consent.

You can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
